On 4th October 2001 I lost my closest friend in a
bike accident, my youngest brother, Kev.
Kev was new to biking but showed a natural skill
after only riding for a few months, We were the ZX6
boys, we both went out and brought new ZX6R’s in
2000, mine Silver and Kev’s Red.
It wasn’t long before we were lured by the call of a
Cadwell Track Day and try as I might, I couldn’t
keep up with Kev. His natural skill, total
commitment and sheer determination to everything he
did was fully applied to his riding skills. Yes of
course I had an excuse, my bike was slower or
someone got in the way, but the truth was, Kev was
quicker.
Every time I ride now, I think of Kev, it was
therefore very fitting that I dedicated the racing
team to the memory of my closest friend, my brother,
Kev.
